The metal seated butterfy valve (series S501/M) has been dasigned to support extreme operation conditions, either of pressures or temperatures, in the field of fluid interception and control as well as in the applications with corrosive media.
The main feature of this valve is the sealing, consisting in a lamellar ring package mounted on the disc (in the standard varsion) and held by a bolted shuf-off ring.
The lamellar ring is made of metal rings intercalated with sealing material (graphoil, AFM, or similar). such a structure makes it resilient enought to optimize the contact against the seat, that?s also made easire by the fact that the lamellar ring is positioned on the disc, in a proper house with wide rooms allowing its self-centering and adaptation to the seat.
This valve is tripleccentric execution, which means that the disc rotation features and the seat cone generator are positioned on axis different from those of the sealing area. In fact , we first find the shaft in double eccentric position vs. the sealing , while the third eccentricity is given by the cone axis-generation of the sealing itself-tilted vs. the valve axis.
This tripleccentricity allows the disc movement with no creeps between the seal ring and the seat which get in contact at shut-off only.
Butterfly PTFE seat 316 disc valves

This is a new series of butterfly valves with perfectly tight shut-off designed to solve, unlike the valves with elastomer seats, problems in shut-off and/or flow control for particularly aggressive fluids. Hence this type of valve finds its main application in those industrial sectors, above all the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, where there is much use of more or less corrosive products.
Another ideal application is that of the sector of foodstuffs in general, breweries, and distilleries thanks to the non toxicity and the antiseptic characteristic of the PTFE seat. As this seat fully isolates the valve body from the process fluid, special materials of construction are not necessary; moreover thanks to the special external profile, the valve is kept ready for mounting without needing additional seals.
The seat consists of a vulcanized PTFE layer, 2 mm thick, on a resilient elastomer support inside of which is housed a metal ring to ensure both geometric and dimensional stability of the seat. The standard version of the inner parts, i.e. the disc and stem, is AISI 316; it is also possible to supply the disc mirror polished. Other materials are available upon request, such as MONEL K, HASTELLOY C, TITANIUM.
Double eccentricity butterfly valves

This is a new range of butterfly valves of the double eccentricity type with "bubble tight" seal, designed for heavy duty service, especially as regards shipbuilding and petrochemical sectors.
Above all it is ideal for shut-off and/or flow control of aggressive fluids or gases.
A wide variety of materials can be used to make the valve; those falling, in the standard range are:
- duttile iron
- carbon steel
- stainless steel
- aluminium bronze or electrically welded constructions.
Such valves are manufactured according to the most up-to date design criteria, thereby offering maximum guarantee of correct operation and minimum maintenance.
Butterfly valves rubber lined

Main features
- Corrosion and abrasion resistant only the seat and disc are in contact with the fluid.
- Self - cleaning and two - way (therefore the valve can be mounted in both directions of flow).
- Maximum ease of assembly and maintenance: no additional seals are required for mounting between<
- the flanges, nor lubrication.
- Adaptability to any type of pneumatic or electric actuator.
- Protection of the valve outer parts against corrosion (epoxy or polyurethane paint).
- Tight shut-off with pressure drop up to 21.5 bar.
- Disc self - centering inside the seat thanks to the floating coupling between stem - disc.
- Seat with phenolic resin or aluminium reinforcement to ensure geometric and dimensional stability.
- Stem-disc coupling without use of fastening elements (screw, bolts, etc.) which could be sources of corrosion and failures.
- Very compact size and light weight.
- Disc of special design in order to ensure ample full flow, low pressure drops, and minimum turbulence.
- Valves are according to ISO 5752 - BS 5155 - MSS SP 67 DIN 3202 - 3 - K1 - API 609.
- Favourable cost.
- Good adjustment characteristic.
